Grandad would like some eggnog and asks little Iggo to go and look for an egg. But he needs to watch out for birds! They are dangerous and can’t be trusted. Iggo doesn’t quite know what an egg looks like, but suddenly he sees something round and curly. It’s Cucumber and he turns out to know all about eggs! Once the new friends have found one they can return home to Grandad. But what if the egg starts to crack on the way there….?
This is a wonderful forest adventure with unexpected friendship as a theme. Emma Åkerman’s illustrations are teeming with details and there are lots to discover. This is her first picture book. The illustrations to the book about Iggo and Cucumber were exhibited at the Bologna Book Fair 2023 and received a lot of attention.
